Our Story

Welcome to Nell Thorn Waterfront Bar & Bistro, a La Conner favorite perched along the historic Swinomish Channel. Our kitchen serves a fresh, daily, rotating menu inspired by French and Italian cuisine, focusing on artisan preparation, sustainable ingredients, and locally sourced products from Skagit Valley farmers. From the grains in our housemade breads and pastas, to the greens in our salads, we allow the seasonality of the Northwest to shape our menu.

Our extensive wine list is intentionally curated to pair with our cuisine, featuring expressive and unique New and Old World wines. Our cocktails reflect the season and the valley's bounty. Hand-pressed citrus, housemade cordials from local ingredients, and a thoughtful spirit-free program are the cornerstone of our bar program.
